Xiaomi CIVI Pro: Leak points to modest improvements over the regular model
Rumour has it that Xiaomi plans to release another device under its CIVI brand, which it debuted in September. Still a Chinese exclusive, the Xiaomi CIVI has a Snapdragon 778G SoC, three rear-facing cameras and a 6.55-inch AMOLED display. Purportedly, Xiaomi is preparing to launch a Pro model, appropriately called the CIVI Pro.
According to Xiaomiui, the CIVI Pro carries the codename 'zijin' and the model number 2203119EC. For reference, the 'C' suffix denotes that it is a China-only smartphone. The website adds that the CIVI Pro is actually just a Xiaomi 12 Lite Zoom, a smartphone that leaked in December, with worse specifications. Specifically, the CIVI Pro will feature an SM7325-based SoC, matching the regular CIVI.
Xiaomiui alleges that the CIVI Pro will share the CIVI's display too, along with its primary, ultra-wide-angle and macro cameras. Reputedly, the CIVI Pro will launch within the next few months, although it remains to be seen what hardware upgrades it will contain over the standard Xiaomi CIVI. Xiaomiui asserts that the device will launch with Android 12 though, unlike the recent Redmi Note 11 series.
