The Redmi Note 11 phones are barely a month old on the global market but Xiaomi already has its sights set on the Redmi Note 12 series. Word from multiple corners indicate that a debut for the Redmi Note 12 series in China isn't as far away as some would expect.

Xiaomi debuted the Redmi Note 11 series in China back in October last year. It took the company a further three months to bring the phones to the global market, giving the illusion of the lineup still being new releases. They're not, though, and it appears Xiaomi already has the Redmi Note 12 series lined up for launch.

According to word on the grapevine, Xiaomi is readying the Redmi Note 12 series for a Q2 launch. While the original source only claims a Q2 launch is expected, YouTuber Sahil Karoul—generally reliable in matters like these—claims that a launch by the end of April or sometime in May is on the cards.

Of course, the Redmi Note 12 launch here refers to a debut in China. Chinese and Global markets don't always get the same hardware either, so the global Redmi Note 12 phones may differ significantly from the Chinese models that will be launched in Q2. Either way, it's likely that the Redmi Note 12 also takes a few months to get to the global market, which would see the mid-range phones launched globally around September.
