Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X and Xiaomi 12 Pro to arrive globally sooner than expected as launch event date leaks
Xiaomi has already announced the POCO X4 Pro 5G and POCO M4 Pro (4G) at MWC 2022. However, Android Planet has confirmed that none of the Xiaomi 12 series will be in attendance. Instead, the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X and Xiaomi 12 Pro will not make their way outside China until the middle of the month. For context, Xiaomi is yet to reveal the rumoured Xiaomi 12 Ultra anywhere, although it has been spotted several times in the last few weeks.
Initially, Android Planet published a leaked teaser image, embedded below. Previously, Xiaomi was rumoured to have settled on late March for the Xiaomi 12 series' global unveiling. As the screenshot shows, however, Xiaomi will unveil the Xiaomi 12 series globally on March 15. Like many Xiaomi launch events, the one for the Xiaomi 12 series will commence at 12:00 UTC, referred to as 20:00 China Standard Time (CST) in the image. Additionally, the leak confirms that Xiaomi will reveal the Xiaomi 12 series during an online launch event, not a physical one.
Hence, we can infer that Xiaomi has pre-recorded the event, which it will distribute on Facebook, Mi.com, Twitter and YouTube, among other social media. Incidentally, Android Planet has since reported that it has removed any references to March 15 at the request of Xiaomi, along with the image below. In effect, Xiaomi has verified Android Planet's leak, despite trying to quash it.
