The Exynos 2200-powered Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra was reported to suffer from a rather pesky display bug. After acknowledging the issue, it appears Samsung has now fixed it with the first OTA to the phones, landing with the March security patch.

Days ago, we published a report on an issue with certain Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra units that manifested in the form of a pixelated horizontal light running across the phones' displays. It appears that particular bug has now been fixed.

As reported by hardware tester Golden Reviewer, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra units in certain regions are now receiving the March security update, and that OTA fixes the display bug. Samsung previously acknowledged the existence of the issue and promised to fix it, so it's good to see the company make good on those promises.

As earlier reported, the display bug only appears on Exynos models of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, and only when in 1440p mode. The latest OTA from Samsung fixes all of that, thankfully. It's currently unknown how long it'll take for this OTA to reach all Exynos regions but it's the first major update from Samsung for the Galaxy S22 phones, so we don't expect owners to suffer a long wait. Supposedly, this isn't Samsung's promised massive performance-fixing update either.
