The Nvidia Quadro P4000 is a mobile high-end workstation graphics card for notebooks. There is currently no consumer counterpart and the GPU is sitting between the Quadro P3000 (GTX 1060) and Quadro P5000 (GTX 1070). It is equipped with 1792 shaders and should therefore use the same GP104 chip from the P5000 (2048 shaders). It has 8 GB GDDR-VRAM at the same bandwidth and has the similar 100-Watt TGP according to Nvidia.

The Quadro GPUs offer certified drivers, which are optimized for stability and performance in professional applications (CAD, DCC, medical, prospection, and visualizing applications). The performance in these areas is therefore much better compared to corresponding consumer GPUs.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (Desktop)

The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 is an entry level graphics card for desktops based on the Pascal architecture. It uses the same GP107 chip as the GTX 1050 Ti, but with only 640 instead of 768 shaders. The chip is manufactured at Samsung in 14 nm (opposed to the 16 nm TSCM based Pascal chips of the 1060 and up). The performance and specs should be similar to the GTX 1050 laptop version, that will be released later (early 2017). Compared to the faster GTX 1050 Ti, the 1050 offers less shaders (640 instead of 768) and only 2 GB of GDDR5 (instead of the 4 GB of the 1050 Ti).

Gaming benchmarks by Nvidia state that the GTX 1050 is about 30% faster on average than the Radeon RX 460 with 2 GB VRAM. The 4 GB version of the RX 460 should be about 10% slower and the older GTX 950 should reach a similar performance level as the new GTX 1050. Therefore, the GTX 1050 should be ideal for 1080p gaming with high detail settings (but not max settings).

NVIDIA Quadro P620

The Nvidia Quadro P620 is an entry-level mobile workstation graphics card for laptops. It uses a GP107 Pascal chip with a 128 Bit memory bus and therefore similar to the old Quadro P1000 with reduced clock speeds. Compared to consumer cards, there is no similar specified card currently and therefore the P620 slots in between the GeForce MX250 and GTX 1050. With a theoretical peak of 1.5 TFLOPS, the performance is clearly ahead of the old P600 with 1.2 TFLOPS.

The Quadro GPUs offer certified drivers, which are optimized for stability and performance in professional applications (CAD, DCC, medical, prospection, and visualizing applications). The performance in these areas is therefore much better compared to corresponding consumer GPUs.
