MediaTek has introduced the Dimensity 6100 Plus (or 6100+) as the latest option in processors to help mobile device OEMs "democratize" historically high-end features such as up to 120Hz displays. It also purports to bring power drain on 5G down compared to its competitors - then again, it seems MediaTek has decided that the actual SoC specs needed for these potential advantages are hardly brand-new.

However, as it turns out, the fact that many of them were able to register with their existing Instagram handle implies a potentially crucial drawback of the new social media option.
