MINISFORUM has revealed initial details about an AMD Ryzen 7040U-powered Windows 2-in-1. Allegedly launching early next year, the unnamed device will be available with a detachable keyboard, stylus support and up to a Ryzen 7 7840U APU.

AYN Technologies has started shipping the Loki Zero, a Windows gaming handheld based around the AMD Athlon Silver 3050e APU. The AYN Loki Zero debuted over a year ago and is still orderable for US$249.

The Exynos 2400's RDNA 2-based Xclipse 940 GPU has its clocks readjusted from 1.7 GHz to 1.2 GHz due to limitations with the architecture. In its current state, it is 20-30% slower than Qualcomm's Adreno 750.

AYANEO has provided more details about the KUN, its 8.4-inch gaming handheld. Now confirmed to be launching next week, the AYANEO KUN will be available from US$999 with an AMD Ryzen 7 7840U APU that scales to 54 W, an 8.4-inch IPS display, a 75 Wh battery, 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Alternatively, AYANEO plans to offer the gaming handheld with up to 64 GB of RAM and 4 TB of storage.

A refresh of the Gigabyte BRIX Extreme family has been announced at the end of last week. The highlight is the high-end GB-BER7-7840, which is currently the only model in the lineup driven by the new AMD Ryzen 7 7840U processor. Unfortunately, pricing and availability details have not been mentioned in the official press release.

AMD has reportedly canceled the high-end RDNA 4 offerings. The remaining SKUs, namely the Navi 43 and Navi 44, could be the only RX 8000 GPUs to release next year according to recent leaks. One-netbook has finally launched the ONEXFLY, a new entry in its ONEXPLAYER series. Available from US$739, the ONEXFLY has a 120 Hz and 7-inch display, an AMD Ryzen 7 7840U APU and a 48 Wh battery in a package that weighs less and is smaller than the ASUS ROG Ally.

Apart from some unusual core clocks and cache readings reported by CPU-Z and HWiNFO, the alleged Ryzen 8000 Strix Point engineering sample still features AVX-512 instructions, while both its P-cores and E-cores support multithreading.

Lenovo ThinkPads are still known for rather robust designs, even if newer variants are much thinner and lighter. The Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Yoga G4 AMD is an exception, as the plastic base without any metal frame to strengthen it is rather weak.

The Legion Slim 5 has received a 14-inch refresh. Offered with the AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS, the Legion Slim 5 14 also has an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 (105 W TGP) and a large battery that supports 140 W charging. Lenovo installs a 120 Hz OLED display too, among other features.

For reference, the RX 7900 XTX / XT cards are considered "ultra-enthusiast", so AMD is not launching something more powerful than the RX 7900 XTX. Not yet, at least. Instead, Team Red is most likely readying the launch for the RX 7800 and 7700 cards.

AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT use drastically less power when VRR is turned on at the driver level per a new report by ComputerBase. The publication happened on this curious behavior while attempting to measure power draw with a 4K 144 Hz monitor with Adaptive Sync turned on.
