Steam has published its latest hardware survey, and we once again see Nvidia dominating AMD in the GPU section. All the top 10 graphics cards are from Nvidia, with the RTX 3060 desktop holding a 5.71% share, but it did see a 1.21% drop when compared to March’s 6.92% share. The second most popular one is the GTX 1650 desktop, which currently has a 4.32% share, seeing a 0.25% increase from the last survey.
When it comes to the most popular laptop GPU, the RTX 3060 also reigns in this case, seeing a 0.39% growth from March’s 3.06% share. The second most popular laptop graphics card is the RTX 4060, which also saw growth and currently holds a 2.86% share. As for AMD, it’s still struggling to gain popularity.
As a matter of fact, no AMD GPU has made an entry in the top 10 list, with only one securing a spot in the top 20. Steam survey shows it as an unspecified Radeon Graphics, which suggests that it’s likely an iGPU. It currently has a 2.03% share, seeing a 0.05% growth from the last report.
Of course, if you consider the graphics cards that have seen growth in April, the AMD RX 6750 GRE did make it to the top 10 GPUs in the latest Steam survey. It holds the 8th position in this regard, with the Nvidia RTX 4060 laptop seeing the highest growth in the period (Acer Nitro 16 with RTX 4060 curr. $999.99 on Amazon).
Regarding the other aspects that the April Steam survey has shed light on, we see AMD gaining some ground on the CPU side. Also, Windows 10 is still the popular choice among gamers, but Windows 11 did see a growth in the latest report. You can learn more from the pictures attached below.
