The Intel Core i9-14900KF has made its first appearance on the PassMark site, where it has immediately snatched the crown for top CPU performance in single-thread testing. However, the Raptor-Lake S Refresh i9-14900KF couldn’t quite leapfrog the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X or the Ryzen 9 7950X3D in overall desktop CPU performance.

Other highlights for this model include the 15.6-inch IPS display with QHD resolution and 240 Hz refresh rate, plus a Thunderbolt 4 port. The configuration also features 16 Gb of DDR5-4800 RAM and 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD storage.

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s G4 is available with both AMD and Intel CPUs. In terms of multicore performance and GPU power, the Intel model with Raptor Lake U is inferior - at least, the Intel ThinkPad has the single core performance as a strength.

We reviewed Microsoft's latest Surface models Laptop Studio 2 as well as Laptop Go 3. While the Surface Laptop Studio 2 introduces some welcome changes, the Surface Laptop Go 3 did not really change all that much. However, both devices are just too expensive.

Some packaging for the Intel Core i9-14900K and i9-14900KF has made its way onto social media. Microsoft has updated its flagship laptop and 2-in-1 machine. Available as the Surface Laptop Studio 2, the new device comes with Intel Raptor Lake-H processors, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs and an updated trackpad. The Surface Laptop Studio 2 starts at US$1,999.99 but US$2,399.99 for a version with a dedicated GPU.

At a volume of only 2.65 liters, the Zotac ZBOX QRP7N3500 mini workstation crams an impressive amount of hardware and connectivity. It includes a 13th-gen Intel Core i7-13700HX CPU and an NVIDIA RTX 3500 Ada Generation Laptop GPU with support for four simultaneous display outputs.

Zotac has presented the ZBOX Edge MI648 and ZBOX Edge MI668, two new mini-PCs that are a mere 28.5 mm thick. Despite this, Zotac has still included nearly a dozen ports and the Intel Core i5-1340P or Core i7-1360P, depending on the model chosen.

Measuring only 175 x 175 x 44.2 mm, the ASUS ExpertCenter PB63 mini PCs pack quite a punch for their size. Users can opt for a top-of-the-line Core i9-13900 processor and pair it with DDR5 RAM and up to three storage devices.

While Cinebench R23 and CPU-Z show single digit performance gains over the i5-13600K, the overhauled Cinebench 2024 methodology shows up to 14% improvement in multi-thread tests. The negligible gains are mainly due to the same ^P+8E core configuration from last year's model, with only a 200 MHz boost for the maximum frequencies.

The launch of the Surface Laptop Studio 2 is fast approaching. Based on a new report, Microsoft will bring improved I/O to its second-generation model, which its predecessor sorely lacked. This change will be joined by Intel Raptor Lake-H processors, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series GPU, plus up to 64 GB of RAM and a 2 TB SSD. Prices are set to start at over €2,000 without a dedicated GPU, though.

The chassis appears to be the same from the previous B660 version, but ASRock added a few new upgrades for the B760 motherboard, including support for up to an i9-13900 processor, a PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 interface, a USB-C 3.2X2 connector and 2.5 Gbps ethernet.

Lenovo concentrates the Intel variety of the ThinkPad T14 2023 on the Raptor Lake U15 series. This leads to a better battery life and lower emissions, but the performance is not convincing.

Reportedly, Microsoft only plans to offer the Surface Laptop Studio 2 with the Intel Core i7-13800H, a Raptor Lake-H processor that will pair with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU. Up to 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB SSD is said to be heading to Microsoft's second-generation Surface Laptop Studio, as are more USB Type-C ports.

This configuration also features a 16-inch IPS panel with 1920x1200 resolution and 120 Hz refresh, 16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM, 512 GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage, plus premium features like a Thunderbolt 4 connector, SD card reader and fingerprint sensor.

The world's lightest 14-inch business laptops are back with updated hardware, and the list of available options goes all the way up to 13th gen Intel Core i7 P-series processors with Intel vPro support. The list of highlights also includes TPM 2.0 security, face and fingerprint login, as well as a webcam cover.

A weight below 1 kg (~2.2 lb), with a shimmering case, invisible touchpad, and OLED display. In addition, the hardware equipment promises to get work done speedily. But LG still has to deal with some small annoyances.

Both refreshed 14-inchers feature 2.8K OLED display options, while the 16-inch model comes with an IPS display, but it is the only one to include a Thunderbolt 4 port. The AMD-powered 14-inch model can be equipped with up to a Ryzen 7 7840H and 32 GB of LPDDR5x-6400 RAM.

The new G6 features a 16-inch display with 1920 x 1200 resolution and 165 Hz refresh rate. Processor options range from the latest i7 Raptor Lake to the older 12-th gen Alder Lake, while the GPU side supports up to an RTX 4060.

SimplyNUC is now selling the Onyx, a mini-PC series available as the NUC130Xv9, NUC130Xi7 and NUC130Xi5. The SimplyNUC Onyx starts at US$699 as a fully configured unit, but it can be optioned up to nearly US$5,000 with a Core i9-13900H processor, 96 GB of DDR5 RAM and 16 TB of storage.
