This configuration also features a 16-inch IPS panel with 1920x1200 resolution and 120 Hz refresh, 16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM, 512 GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage, plus premium features like a Thunderbolt 4 connector, SD card reader and fingerprint sensor.

The 2023 VivoBook 16X thin and light notebook from Asus originally priced at US$1,300 is now available at only US$999 from B&H as part of the special BILD Expo deals. Even though this is not the OLED version, it does come with premium features that are hard to find under US$1,000.

Instead of an OLED, this configuration features a decent 15-inch IPS panel with 1920x1200 resolution, 300-nit peak brightness, 100%sRGB color gamut, 1080-degree hinge and 120 Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Intel’s i7-13700H processor with 14 cores and 20 threads plus 16 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM (upgradeable to 32 GB) and 512 GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage. There is also an Nvidia RTX 4060 dGPU with 8 GB VRAM.

Port selection includes premium features like a Thunderbolt 4 connector along with a full-size SD card reader, as well as 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 connectors, HDMI 2.1 video out and an audio jack. Due to its 18.9 mm profile, this model only comes with Wi-Fi 6E + BT 5.3 connectivity. The notebook itself is quite lightweight for a 16-incher at just 1.8 kg (3.97 lbs) and comes with a full-size backlit keyboard plus a 70 Wh battery that can charge to 50% in only 30 minutes. Unfortunately the webcam features a 720p sensor, but Asus provides a fingerprint sensor integrated in the touchpad for increased security.
