The 2022 Dell Inspiron 14 5425 is a mid-range productivity-focused laptop. Dell is currently running a clearance sale on the Ryzen 7 5825U-powered configuration of the notebook which slashes a sizeable US$250 off the US$699.99 retail price resulting in the US$449.99 final rate (via slickdeals).

In addition to the Ryzen 7 5825U, the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 on sale packs 8 GB of DDR4-3200 memory, 512 GB of SSD storage, and a 14-inch 16:10 IPS display with a 1920x1200 resolution. The IPS panel also supports touch input and boasts an advertised brightness of 250 nits alongside 75% coverage of the NTSC gamut.

For instance, in the Cinebench R23 Multi-core benchmark, the Ryzen 7 5825U is, on average, 23.4% faster than the Ryzen 5 5625U per our tests. Similarly, the RX Vega 8 inside the Ryzen 7 5825U also outperformed the RX Vega 7 of the Ryzen 5 5625U by 17% in the 3DMark Time Spy Graphics.

Put simply, if all you want to do is handle office tasks and browse the internet, the Inspiron 14 5425 packs more than enough horsepower under the hood.

Finally, the Dell Inspiron 14 5425’s battery life is also pretty decent. The 54 Wh cell was enough to power the laptop for an impressive 12 hours and 50 minutes in our real-world WLAN test.
