Intel Raptor Lake Refresh CPU prices leak with noticeable but digestible increases over 13th-gen Raptor Lake chips

The 14th-gen Intel Raptor Lake Refresh processors are almost upon us with the official launch of the CPUs expected on October 17. The launch will mark an end to the long line of leaks and rumors that have outed details such as performance, specifications, and even product boxes. However, since the Raptor Lake Refresh release is still a fortnight away, one can expect additional information to leak out. To that end, possible pricing for the 14th-generation Intel processors has just come to the surface thanks to listings by Canadian retailer Canada Computers. Per the CPUs listed on Canada Computers, the Core i9-14900KF costs CAD779, the Core i7-14700K will run you back CAD589, and the Core i7-14700KF price stands at CAD549. Finally, the Core i5-14600K and 14600KF are the cheapest of the bunch, as they cost around CAD449 and CAD399 respectively.

According to the CAD/USD exchange rate at the time of writing, the US pricing becomes:

• Core i9-14900KF: US$572.35
• Core i7-14700K and 14700KF: US$432.75 and US$403.36
• Core i5-14600K and 14600KF: US$329.89 and US$293.15

Compared to the CAD prices of the 13th-gen Raptor Lake chips, the Intel Raptor Lake Refresh pricing is 0-7% more as noted by VideoCardz. 

If we look at the current US pricing of Raptor Lake CPUs, the Core i5-14600K is 4% more expensive than the Core i5-13600K which costs US$317.99 on Amazon. Similarly, the delta between the Core i5-14600KF and the Core i5-13600KF rates is 2.5%, while the differences between the prices of the Core i7-14700K/KF and the Core i7-13700K/KF are 9.5% and 6% respectively.

Finally, the purported Core i9-14900KF appears to be 5% more expensive than the Core i9-13900KF.

All in all, it seems that the 14th-gen Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs could land around the same price points as the 13th-gen chips with mentionable but not large increases. However, since Intel is yet to confirm the actual MSRPs of the 14th-gen processors, the final US$ and CAD rates could be noticeably different than the ones listed here.
