At its yearly Techworld showcase, Lenovo announced the newest version of its 2-in-1 flagship: The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition adopts Intel Core Ultra 2000V, following in the footsteps of the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13.

Alongside the new AMD based flagship HP EliteBook X, HP introduces a new version of an existing product: The new 8 core version of the HP EliteBook Ultra G1q is designed to bring down the price of the ARM laptop. The HP laptop also gains a brighter screen option.

Many PC manufacturers introduced new laptops with Intel Lunar Lake at CES. MSI was among them, bringing four new laptops with Core Ultra Series 2 to Berlin - the convertible Summit 13 AI Evo as well as the clamshell laptops MSI Prestige 13 AI Evo, MSI Prestige 14 AI Evo and MSI Prestige 16 AI Evo. All four are meant for the B2B market.

In the run-up to IFA, we had a chance to take a closer look at the two new ThinkPad Laptops introduced in Berlin: The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 AMD with the new glass touchpad and the featherweight Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition.

More lightweight and efficient than ever before: This is the promise of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition. With just 980 g starting weight, it is the most lightweight ThinkPad laptop at the moment and the lightest 14 inch ThinkPad ever made. Intel Core Ultra series 2, also known as Lunar Lake, is supposed to make it one of the most long-lasting ones at the same time.

Efficiency, efficiency, efficiency: Intel's focus with the new Core Ultra 200V chips was clear. But even when it comes to performance, the new Core Ultra Series 2 CPUs will trump the previous Meteor Lake U chips. Shortly before IFA 2024 begins, Intel has unveiled the last outstanding specs of the new CPU series, including the Lunar Lake SKU table.
