XMG now also without a dedicated GPU. With the new XMG Evo 15, the German manufacturer Schenker wants to tap into a new target group that wants a modern notebook without a dedicated graphics card. Many ports and good maintenance options. The Schenker VIA 14 Pro has been updated and now comes with the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS and a brighter IPS display. The manufacturer has also taken the criticism of the dirt-prone casing to heart and now uses a different coating. The extensive connectivity and the two slots for M.2 SSDs have been retained.

Like an XPS 13, but better. Lenovo's ThinkBook 13x G4 is a high-quality and compact subnotebook that delivers solid results in almost all disciplines. The IPS screen in 3:2 format is bright and offers 120 Hz, while the Core Ultra 5 125H is fast and the battery runtimes are also good. However, the ThinkBook falls short in terms of the keyboard and maintenance options.

Better than Intel? Asus also offers its Zenbook 14 OLED as a cheaper version featuring an AMD Ryzen 8000 processor—that even delivers better performance than the Meteor Lake variant. It does, however, face limitations when it comes to its RAM and its Full HD OLED panel which only has a 60 Hz refresh rate.

Light as a feather with Wi-Fi 7. MSI's Prestige 13 AI Evo is an extremely compact and lightweight subnotebook featuring good connectivity options, an OLED panel and a Meteor Lake processor.
