MSI's first stab at a luxurious subnotebook convertible is already good enough to rival the best from Dell. It's not perfect, but it offers enough extras to make it worth considering on your list.

The Galaxy Book Flex 2 Alpha has arrived, even if it missed the cut at yesterday's Galaxy Unpacked event. The convertible laptop has a 13.3-inch display, a choice between two Intel Tiger Lake laptops and a 54 Wh battery. The Galaxy Book Flex 2 Alpha will start shipping next month in two colours.

If it's got "Galaxy" in the name, then you know it's going to have a lot to live up to. The Galaxy Book Pro 360 looks set to be Samsung's premier Windows convertible with features that rival the best prosumer laptops from Dell, HP, or Lenovo.

The Yoga Duet 7 2021 features a Core i5-1135G7 or a Core i7-1165G7, along with 16 GB of RAM and a Thunderbolt 4 port. The device will go on sale in China on April 30.

The brand-new ThinkPad X1 Yoga G6 has arrived in our editorial office and it is immediately noticeable that it is better than the more expensive ThinkPad x1 Titanium Yoga in pretty much every way.

The US Patent and Trademarks Office (USPTO) has approved Samsung's patent for what is depicted as a "display device" that folds in half. It appears to be at least tablet-sized, and may thus be for the long-rumored Galaxy Tab Fold, or a very similar device. The document shows how Samsung intends to make a flexible display work on a larger scale.

The new E13 Flip and E16 Flip come with thin and light CNC-cut aluminum chassis and feature 16:10 touchscreens complete with an MSI Pen. The display-standard specialist group TÜV Rheinland has announced its new Dynamic Privacy Filter certification, and that 2021's ThinkPads X1 Carbon and X1 Yoga are the first 2 devices to officially match up to it. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Book Pro and Pro 360 laptops have been revealed in all of their glory via a series of leaked press renders. The Galaxy Book Pro and Pro 360 devices boast of having AMOLED screens, 11th Gen Intel processors, and even an Nvidia dGPU choice for the 15-inch variants. Thunderbolt 4 is onboard while LTE connectivity is optional.

NVIDIA's game-streaming service GeForce NOW has announced the end of one membership type and the beginning of another. At US$9.99, the new Priority subscription costs more, but is also slated to add more benefits such as RTX ON and DLSS support in compatible titles. However, those with the original Founder's membership have their pricing locked in.

Dell's 2-in-1 device hardly warms up, offers good battery life, and comes with a touchscreen display in the 3:2 format. The latter can be operated both with the fingers and with the separately available Dell Premium Active Pen.

The JingPad A1 is a 2-in-1 tablet that runs JingOS. In addition to having a high-resolution 4:3 display, the JingPad A1 also includes a 5G modem, a detachable keyboard and an 8,000 mAh battery. The JingPad A1 supports Android apps too, among other features.

AMD has now made its 2021 line of Ryzen PRO mobile processors official. The OEM claims they build on the considerable leap in productivity-focused performance made by their 4000-series predecessors. This includes gains of up to 65% over the Intel Core i7-1185G7 in certain benchmarks, as well as reduced app-opening latency and improved performance in some MS Office tasks.

Intel's aging iGPU is holding back some high-end business convertibles from being even better. Fortunately, this will be the last generation before the EliteBook x360 1040 will drop Comet Lake-U for the vastly superior Tiger Lake series.

With the ConceptD 3 Ezel, Acer has created a multimedia convertible with a design that we really like. It doesn't really perform poorly in any area in our test - which stings, though: It could have been much better with other components.

We compared the Apple M1's performance in CPU benchmarks against the AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS in the Asus ROG Flow X13, the Core i9-10980HK, and the Core i7-1185G7 and found that native benchmarks such as Cinebench R23 and Geekbench 5.3 indicate clear leads for Apple Silicon in single-core performance despite operating in just a 10 W TDP envelope. We see that Intel Tiger Lake Core i7-1185G7 is able to match the M1 in single-core tests but loses out significantly in multi-core tests.

The Lenovo Yoga Tabs are Android slates marked by unique rolling grips at one end that may also house speakers and USB type C ports. Now, it looks like the OEM has a new member of this series in the works. The "Yoga Tab 13" has appeared on Google and Geekbench databases with 8GB of RAM and Android 11.

Originally slated for release in February, Lenovo has released their new 2021 X1 ThinkPad now in early March. Both the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 and ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 6 feature new 14 inch 16:10 screens. As usual with Lenovo, their starting prices are sky high at the moment.
