The media outlet Business Insider claims that its sources have told it Asus will launch a new premium PC in India on May 12, 2021, and that it will be the ROG Flow X13. This machine combines specs such as Ryzen 5000 platforms and GTX 1650 graphics with a convertible form-factor. Therefore, the OEM asserts it can easily switch between 'creator' and 'gaming' modes.
Asus introduced the Flow X13 at CES 2021, and subsequently released it to markets such as the EU and US since then. Now, the OEM will allegedly ship it in India as well. Then again, Business Insider was not very specific as to which SKUs might be available in this potential new market.
The X13's options range from Ryzen 7 5800HS to 9 5980HS platforms, and start at about $1,500 (INR ~110,766) in the US. However, bundles with its XG Mobile accessory - an external GPU that has been received fairly well thanks to its RTX 3080 internals and PCIe x8 connection - can go up to $3,330 (INR ~243,693).
Then again, there is no guarantee these prices will translate absolutely should the Flow X13 truly launch in India soon. Furthermore, it is not clear whether the convertible's 120Hz FHD display option will be coming to this market or not.
