Samsung announced many laptops yesterday, albeit not the Galaxy Book Go. However, it turns out that the company has released another Galaxy Book laptop, the Galaxy Book Flex 2 Alpha, a successor to the Galaxy Book Flex Alpha. The Galaxy Book Flex 2 Alpha takes the volume of new Samsung laptops to six, counting the Galaxy Book, Galaxy Book Pro, Galaxy Book Pro 360 and the Galaxy Book Odyssey, too.
The Galaxy Book Flex 2 Alpha appears to retain the chassis of its predecessor, so it has a 13.3-inch QLED touchscreen display, although Samsung's configurator implies that a 15.6-inch model is also available. Samsung is only offering the Galaxy Book Flex 2 Alpha in two configurations, which we have outlined below:
- Intel Core i5-1135G7, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, Royal Silver - US$849.99
- Intel Core i7-1165G7, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, Mystic Black - US$1,049.99
The 360° convertible has a 54 Wh battery and weighs 1.18 kg, for reference. The device comes with a richer port selection than the Galaxy Book Flex too, which we reviewed last year. Based on Samsung's website, it seems that the Galaxy Book Flex2 Alpha will start shipping around May 17. This may only apply in the US, though.
