Samsung launches 4G LTE AMOLED Galaxy Book Pro 13 and 15 laptops with Iris Xe graphics starting at $999 USD

While Samsung laptops aren't new, most do little to differentiate themselves from more popular models like the Dell XPS or HP Spectre. The upcoming 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch Galaxy Book Pro laptops will change all that by offering 1080p AMOLED displays as standard instead of the usual IPS on most other laptops.

Interestingly, the AMOLED panels on both Galaxy Pro laptops will be limited to 1080p whereas existing OLED laptops from Dell, Razer, and HP are native 4K. Touchscreen will not be an option on the Galaxy Pro clamshells as well. Other major differences between the 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch clamshell models are 4G LTE for the former and both HDMI and an integrated NumPad on the latter.

Both models are otherwise very similar with their identical blue and silver color options, 1 mm key travel, 65 W USB-C AC adapters, and AKG speakers. The 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch clamshell models come at the same time as the 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch Galaxy Book Pro 360 convertibles which come with AMOLED touchscreens.

Samsung will launch the 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch Galaxy Book Pro clamshells simultaneously on May 14 with pre-orders starting today. As an incentive, users who pre-order from Amazon or Best Buy will receive a $100 gift card to Amazon or Best Buy.
