Samsung has issued a new update to the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, currently the company's premier Galaxy S smartphone. So far, the update has gone live in Germany, but Samsung should start rolling it out in countries shortly. The build number to look out for is G99xBXXU3AUDA, with the lowercase 'x' changing depending on the region in which you purchased the device.
According to the changelog, Samsung has upgraded the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G to the May 2021 security patch, despite there being a few days of April left. Incidentally, Google is yet to publish its May 2021 Android security bulletin, so it is unclear what security issues that the company has addressed.
Nonetheless, the changelog states that Samsung has improved the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G's camera performance and has enhanced its Quick Share feature. Specifically, this month's update improves 'file sharing between Galaxy devices'. While these changes may seem trivial, the update is over a 1.1 GB download. You can learn more about the update here.
