Samsung has only just announced the Galaxy S22 series, consisting of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and the Galaxy S22 Ultra. However, the company is already looking towards its next hardware release. Unsurprisingly, it will be attending Mobile World Congress 2022 (MWC 2022), Barcelona's annual technology event.
Typically, Samsung does not reveal what it plans to launch ahead of a tech event, but it has for MWC 2022. In a blog post, the company explains:
We are excited to share the full details of the next generation of Galaxy Book with you right ahead of Mobile World Congress (MWC), but in the meantime, here are a few things you can expect.
The company adds that its next-generation Galaxy Book series will 'transform the way people use their devices within their daily lives'. Supposedly, the company's next laptops will bring a 'seamless experience' across devices and operating systems. Presumably, Samsung refers to One UI Book 4, a customised version of Windows 11 that it unveiled in October.
Additionally, Samsung teases that its next-generation Galaxy Book laptops will rely on Intel hardware. Based on previous leaks, Samsung plans to showcase Alder Lake processors, such as the Core i7-1260P. Intel has announced the Core i7-1270P and Core i7-1280P too though, both more powerful examples of its Alder Lake-P architecture. Samsung's MWC 2022 event will commence on February 27 at 18:00 UTC.
