New renders posted by renowned leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) on Twitter all but confirm the LG G8 ThinQ's design. These renders match those posted on the XDA Developers forum last month. Sadly, that means the G8 ThinQ will look almost identical to the G7 ThinQ. At least it still has a headphone jack.

If the "new" LG Q9 One seems to have an outdated processor, the reality might surprise you: this handset is a rebranded LG G7 One, which was unveiled at IFA 2018. The only noticeable difference is that the Q9 One comes loaded with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box (the G7 One arrived with Android 8.1 Oreo onboard).

The Xiaomi M365 electric scooters is popular with ride-sharing companies such as Bird in the US. They can hire out such vehicles online thanks to the ability to remotely lock rental units as and when they need to. The American telecommunications company Sprint has filed a lawsuit against AT&T in relation to the latter’s use of the term “5G Evolution”. Qualcomm has released the Snapdragon 712 processor; however, it seems not to be much more than a refreshed 710 SoC. On one hand, the 712 may be 10% faster compared to its prececessor; on the other, both have the same GPU, Hexa DSP and X15 LTE modem. However, it supports Fast Charging version 4+ rather than 4.

The OPPO K1 is now available on the Indian market. This phone may compete with others such as the Redmi Note 7, as it has many specs in common with this device, but also has an in-display fingerprint reader. The K1 is exclusive to Flipkart, which sells it for about US$237.

The latest update to the VLC media player (4.0) will bring more features, especially for iOS. However, it will also no longer support older versions of the same platform, along with some others (e.g. Windows XP). It also now offers the ability to play a full list of music without pauses of any kind.
