RedmiBook 14 Enhanced edition with 10th-gen i7 processor to be released soon
The RedmiBook 14 is the first laptop from Xiaomi's major sub-brand. It was released at the end of May 2019 with 8th-generation Intel silicon and looks that do not deviate much from its parent company's own ultrabooks. Now, its maker has announced that it is to be refreshed already with a newer CPU.
This chipset is slated to be a 10th-generation Core i7. Redmi has not specified which one exactly, although it is likely to be a direct replacement for the i7-8565U found in the '14's pre-existing higher-end variants. The brand has also failed to mention whether this new model - the RedmiBook 14 Enhanced - will also have an updated GPU, or the same NVIDIA GeForce MX250 found in the original.
These details and more will be revealed at the next Redmi launch event. This is already shaping up to be a jam-packed show, as it is also intended to introduce the new TV from this brand, as well as the Note 8 series of smartphones. One that note, the company has also announced that the base variant will be powered by the Snapdragon 665 SoC, and not the MediaTek Helio G90 hinted at in earlier leaks.
In addition, the brand's official Weibo channel has also indicated that it will also release at least 1 type of wireless mouse and truly-wireless Bluetooth headset, to go with the RedmiBook 14 Enhanced and Note 8 line respectively.
