Alien lightshow. Alienware, who are very popular among gamers, jumped on the Maxwell bandwagon and presented their first notebook with the new and extremely fast Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M. Numerous manufacturer specific special hardware and software features should fulfill all wishes of gamers. It is just too bad that precisely the core units did not work flawlessly.

Bye-bye, TN. After a long waiting time, the Clevo P771ZM Barebone is finally available with an IPS panel. Reason enough for us to take another look at the One K73-5N. Clear the ring for the Schenker XMG U705.

School's calling. Rigid, ready-to-go and enduring is how Dell presents its new Education lineup. The combination of these key specs quite convinced us in the test, and thus Dell's Latitude 11 is also eligible for the classic office environment.

Not much more powerful. On paper, the powerful hardware upgrade of Acer's Nitro series seems appealing. Although, the performance has not improved in the synthetic benchmarks, gamers might appreciate more fps and a higher display contrast.

Fine-tuning. Schenker Technologies relies for the M505 on the simple design of the predecessor. The changes underneath the hood are equally marginal. For instance, the IPS panel is accompanied by a GeForce GTX 950M instead of a GeForce GTX 850M. Find out here how this affects the performance.

Readjusted. Despite its powerful hardware, the GL551JK remains a quiet and unobtrusive notebook. The comparatively long battery life is an added bonus.

Refined model. Slim, sleek, powerful - With the Aspire V15 Nitro series, Acer has launched a well-made series of gaming notebooks. Acer has upgraded the series and replaced the GeForce GTX 860M graphics card with a GeForce GTX 960M GPU. As a result, the graphics performance has increased slightly.

Limited stamina. Asus can compete with the established competitors from Lenovo, Dell, Fujitsu and HP with the 12-inch business subnotebook called BU201LA. It comes with a bright IPS display, an LTE modem and very good input devices. However, the computer's battery life is quite short.

Expensive runtime wonder. Toshiba charges a steep price of 2000 Euros (~$2138) for the top configuration of its latest business convertible – in return the user gets a business device with comprehensive features and enormous battery runtimes. Thanks to the anti-reflective touchscreen, the Portege Z20t can also be used outdoors.

Better late than never. Barely 1.5 years after the Last-Gen edition, GTA V is finally released for the PC. We tested it on multiple notebooks, to see if the wait was worth it.

Changing of the guards. Lenovo's new Thinkpad L450 now sports ULV processors instead of standard mobile CPUs. Unfortunately, the Thinkpad doesn't benefit that much from the more frugal processor-series.

Success. Acer's 14-inch TravelMate P645 does not have any serious weaknesses and besets the business-leaders from Hewlett Packard and Lenovo. It clearly outruns its rivals in terms of battery life.

Little jack of all trades. The manufacturer describes its new EliteBook as a sturdy travel companion. The build and emissions impress us, but compromises have to be made in performance compared with the competition.

Well-rounded indeed. The Zenbook doesn't just impress with its looks alone. The subnotebook also delights with good input devices, a long battery life and low emissions.

All-rounder. The HP Envy 17 wants to be your desktop replacement laptop. It has the right hardware, but what about the pricing?

The affordable convertible. For about $500, this Asus is both a decent tablet and notebook. Unfortunately, a lot of important corners had to be cut to bring this transformer to such an inexpensive level.

Slimmed down. The new version of the Inspiron 15 of the 7000-series is much slimmer than the predecessor, and now has a 4K display. However, the restriction is not only limited to the chassis: You also have to live with drawbacks in terms of graphics performance and battery runtimes.

Cutting the wrong corners? Compromises in the casing, screen and configuration make the ThinkPad T450 a comparatively affordable alternative to the high-end T450s model. However, the buyer should carefully consider whether the money saved really makes up for the drawbacks.

GPU Update. Schenker Technologies presents the XMG A305: the successor to the gaming dwarf, the XMG P304. Instead of a GTX 860M, the successor employs a GTX 960M, which promises more performance. In our review, we will check whether the cooling of the 13-inch gaming laptop can handle its new hardware.

Thin is in. How thin of a laptop can you fit a GTX 980M? The Gigabyte P37 is the thinnest 17.3-inch notebook with the Nvidia GPU and we find out if there are any performance consequences that may entail.

Successful. Schenker's XMG A705 is primarily aimed at gamers and does not disappoint in this regard: It renders all up-to-date games smoothly. Positive: The noise and temperature development are relatively moderate.

May the Force be with you. An innovative new Force Touch trackpad is probably the most interesting new feature of the early 2015 MacBook Pro Retina 13 – otherwise, there are more evolutionary than revolutionary changes. Even though the overall package is once again convincing: The Windows competition can close the gap.

Not without flaw. The EliteBook was good to start with and has been slightly improved owing to the Broadwell processor, which results in a longer battery life due to lower power consumption. Unfortunately, HP has not taken care of the laptop's shortcoming - the screen.

Gaming and more. In addition to decent gaming power, Asus' new high-performance laptop offers a combination of convincing qualities that also recommend it for productive deployment as a powerful desktop replacement for approximately 1300 Euros (~$1396). However, the newcomer is not completely without flaws. Our in-depth review reveals where they are found and what effect they have.

Simply brilliant. Dell now offers the XPS 13 with a non-touch display and a more mainstream resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels for a much more affordable price. Not only is the new display brighter, but it's matte as well, which improves outdoor usability. The remainder of the hardware is very similar to the QHD+ version, so the new model inherits both its strengths and weaknesses.

Encore une fois. Apple's workhorse in the form of a compact 13-inch goes into the next round. An overview of the most important modifications: New Force Touch touchpad, update to Intel's Broadwell CPU including an Iris Graphics 6100, faster PCIe-based SSD, and a larger battery. We are putting the 2015 model through its paces, and present our first results to bridge the time until publishing our complete test report.

Business convertible. The ThinkPad Yoga fuses two of Lenovo's lines to offer professional users the 360-degree display of a Yoga convertible in a hybrid device. Is it now finely tuned or poorly twisted?

Sharp performer. The Blade is back with a honed edge to take the crown in the razor-thin gaming category. Does this refreshed model make the cut? Or is it just a dull point?

Maintenance friendly The P15F v2 could be seen as the affordable entry model into Gigabyte's World of Gaming laptops. The buyer gets a high-performance computer with good maintenance and upgrade options.

1, 2, Police. Hardline is a breath of fresh air for the Battlefield series: the single-player experience is radically different from that of the predecessors. Our focus will be on the hardware requirements of the new first-person shooter.

Compact beast. Compact or powerful? The Schenker XMG C405 is both. This 14-inch model runs all the latest games but we recommend using headphones.

All-rounder. The Envy belongs to the group of 15.6-inch all-rounders. The computer does not lack processing performance. However, the display of the notebook is not convincing.

Even more pixels! As the successor to Dell's XPS 15 (Late 2013) with its QHD+ display, the American company now presents the overhauled XPS 15 in a new configuration with a 4K UHD display and a more powerful processor. The almost perfect display image and reasonably good performance are enticing. Unfortunately, some of the computer's former problems remain unresolved.

Surprise! Lenovo expands its W-series with an ultra slim mobile workstation, which can set some new records right away. It benefits from components like the first professional chip from Nvidia's Maxwell generation, a generous battery capacity and many typical business features.
