The eSports scene is growing rapidly and Dell is joining the likes of Acer, MSI, Aorus, iBuyPower, and other sponsors in providing the necessary gaming PCs and machines.

Dell is continuing to expand its presence in the PC gaming market with updated Kaby Lake and Pascal Alienware and Inspiron systems. Now, Dell is aiming to sponsor more eSports teams by becoming the official hardware supplier for the Eleague tournament.

As Dell and Nvidia made very clear this year at CES, the eSports scene has grown from a niche market to a global phenomenon. The eSports audience is expected to grow from 256 million viewers to over 345 million over the next three years with revenues exceeding $1 billion USD.

Eleague Major is operated by the two US companies Turner and WME IMG. As such, the upcoming Eleague tournaments for CS: Global Offensive on January 22 to 29 will also broadcast on TBS and Twitch. Dell will be providing Alienware Aurora systems and 24-inch 144 Hz gaming monitors for the players.

In addition to all the free hardware and advertising, Dell will be awarding the first prize winner with new notebooks including the updated Kaby Lake Alienware 13 starting for 1479 Euros, the Alienware 15 for 1649 Euros, Alienware 17 for 1849 Euros, and the Inspiron 15 Gaming for 999 Euros. The updated Alienware Aurora desktop should be available for general consumers by the end of January for 1099 Euros.
