Apple's Magic Keyboard opens a new realm of possibilities for iPad owners that need their tablets to do anything other than media consumption. (Image source: Apple)

Apple to update budget iPad ecosystem with cheaper Magic Keyboard with new features and budget-friendly materials

It seems like Apple is working on a Magic Keyboard accessory for its cheapest iPad and iPad Air models. The $299 Apple Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro was a major success, thanks to its full-size keyboard, haptic trackpad, and excellent build quality, but it's unclear what corners Apple will cut to bring the price down for its cheaper iPads.
