Valve showcases the top 50 new games of 2024 on Steam
This year, a good number of great hits have been released. Some of these new games did exceptionally well, while some fell a bit short of expectations. If you're to rank these newly released titles, you would need to consider many factors, such as the ratings, peak players, and other criteria. Valve, on the other hand, is considering the gross revenue they earned on Steam.
The company didn't share the revenue specifics but notes that the data was taken from January 1st to December 15th, 2024. With this data, Valve has ranked the top 50 new releases on Steam by categorizing them into three main segments: Platinum, Gold, and Silver.
In these three segments, the Platinum rank contains the newly released games that are ranked between 1st and 12th, Gold has the ones that are between 13th and 24th, and Silver has the titles ranked between 25th and 50th. Here are more details about the ones that reside in the top rank:
- Path of Exile 2 - has a "Very Positive" player rating with more than 69 thousand reviews and currently costs $29.99 on Steam
- EA Sports FC 25 - has a "Mixed" rating with over 32 thousand player reviews and is currently $27.99 on Steam
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 - has a "Mixed" rating with over 8 thousand player reviews and is currently $52.49 on Steam
- Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 - has a "Very Positive" rating with over 102 thousand player reviews and is currently $44.99 on Steam
- Dragon's Dogma 2 - has a "Mixed" rating with over 67 thousand player reviews and is currently $38.89 on Steam
- Palworld - has a "Very Positive" rating with over 301 thousand player reviews and is currently $22.49 on Steam
- NBA 2K25 - has a "Mixed" rating with over 9 thousand player reviews and is currently $27.99 on Steam
- Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl - has a "Very Positive" rating with over 73 thousand player reviews and is currently $53.99 on Steam
- Manor Lords - has a "Very Positive" rating with over 53 thousand player reviews and is currently $27.99 on Steam
- Helldivers 2 - has a "Mostly Positive" rating with over 696 thousand player reviews and is currently $31.99 on Steam
- Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero - has a "Very Positive" rating with over 696 thousand player reviews and is currently $69.99 on Steam
- Black Myth: Wukong - has an "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating with over 785 thousand player reviews and is currently $59.99 on Steam
