The community was deeply disappointed when Rockstar Games shared an X-post promoting their Holiday Sale instead of unveiling the anticipated new trailer. The Holiday Sale, running until January 7, offers discounts of up to 70% on games and merchandise but provides no fresh details about GTA 6.
Fans between frustration and speculation
While many fans reacted with humor, comments on X and platforms like Reddit reveal widespread disappointment. The community is frustrated not only by the absence of a new trailer but also by Rockstar's slow marketing approach and lack of transparency. Adding to the dismay are growing fears that the highly anticipated GTA 6 might be delayed until 2027. One Reddit comment captures the mood perfectly:
"They’re even delaying the announcement announcing that they’re delaying the game."
Despite the letdown, fans remain eager to guess when the second GTA 6 trailer could be released. One X user even derived a potential release date by analyzing the discount percentages mentioned in Rockstar Games' Holiday Sale post:
