Clock generator. The Nubia RedMagic 10S Pro relies on the new overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version and aims to ensure optimum cooling with an active fan. It also offers an uninterrupted, near-bezel-less 144 Hz display, no annoying camera bumps, and an attractive entry-level price.

Budget-friendly 8.8-incher. The compact 8.8-inch Alldocube iPlay 70 mini Ultra may be affordable but it still has plenty to offer, especially in terms of performance, storage expansion and connectivity. And despite its gaming ambitions, the tablet appeals to far more than just players.

Costs less than 300 euros. The Teclast Art Pad Pro measures 12.7 inches and is offered at a competitive price. It comes with a stylus supporting 4096 pressure levels. The tablet is also versatile thanks to 256 GB of storage, dual SIM, multiple picture modes, and a dedicated function key.

On speed. At 9 inches, the Nubia RedMagic Astra is an unusually small modern tablet that has had no expense spared when it comes to its hardware. The Astra is a gaming tablet that flies through benchmarks as well as everyday tasks. RGB lighting and an active cooler add a special touch.

Affordable complete package. For a mid-range tablet, the Pad 7S Pro's specs promise excellent value. A high-resolution display with stylus support, optionally available with an anti-reflective coating, a flagship processor, and up to 1 TB of storage. Has Xiaomi managed to create the perfect iPad killer?

It would be a real shame if this tablet remained exclusive to its domestic market. It's unfortunate that this device is currently limited to regional availability. With a high-end SoC at its core, the compact Xiaomi Redmi K Pad delivers performance on par with modern flagship smartphones, making it a strong contender against iPad Mini (2024). Xiaomi has also equipped the tablet with premium features including a 165 Hz display, stylus support, Wi-Fi 7 and two USB ports, which are rare in this size class.

Best iPad Air alternative becomes a bargain. The large 13.2-inch OnePlus Pad 2 Pro including pen support offers a complete package that has no equal at less than 600 Euros (~$705). Despite its mid-range price, the premium tablet impresses with the best hardware and a high quality. But one missing piece in the equipment really annoys us in everyday operation.

Corporate contender. The Asus ExpertBook B5 is packed with essential hardware, software, and security features that businesses tend to prioritize. With an Intel Core Ultra 7 155U under the hood, the ExpertBook B5 can sail through most productivity tasks without much trouble. The mediocre IPS display, however, is a notable drawback in an otherwise solid offering.

Blocking the sun's glare The Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 is a large tablet with a matte display that achieves high brightness, making it ideal for outdoor use. The tablet also includes a keyboard and stylus. We didn't miss much in the test.
