Best Buy is presently running a sale on the Dell 16 Plus, bringing the convertible down to just $599.99, a nearly 37% discount from MSRP. It's equipped with a 16-inch IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 1,920 × 1,200, a peak brightness of 300 nits, as well as stylus support (Dell Active Pen has to be purchased separately for $39.99).
Under the hood, there's an Intel Core Ultra 5 226V Lunar Lake processor (4x P-cores + 4x LP-E cores, 7x Xe-core Arc integrated graphics) joined by 16 GB of on-package LPDDR5X-8533 memory and a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 SSD.
Moving on to connectivity, there are a couple of USB-C ports with Power Delivery (1x 40 Gbps Thunderbolt 4 with DisplayPort 2.1 + 1x 10 Gbps with DisplayPort 1.4), a 5 Gbps USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5 mm audio combo jack. Furthermore, an Intel BE201 wireless card adds Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 support.
The 2-in-1's aluminum body measures 14.05 × 9.87 × 0.67 inches (357 × 251 × 17 mm) and weighs 4.52 lb (2.05 kg), while packing a 64 Wh battery that can charge at up to 65 W with the included USB-C power adapter.
In our review of a higher-end model of the Dell 16 Plus convertible, we liked the thinner and lighter build as well as the addition of a numpad compared to the outgoing Inspiron model. Some downsides include the lackluster SSD performance and the lack of a microSD card reader.
