Reviews for the Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1

83.5% Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 convertible review: Not necessarily better than the older Inspiron | Notebookcheck
The Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 is leaner and more balanced than the Inspiron 16 7640 2-in-1 that it's supposed to replace. While it mostly succeeds, it's not quite the homerun in a few key areas.
60% Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 Review: Too Much Laptop for a Rotating Screen
Source: PC Mag English
The Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 is a competent laptop with a gorgeous display, but its weight makes tablet use a chore, and its battery needs to last longer for the price.

I found a 16-inch Windows laptop that could replace my MacBook Pro (and it's $200 off)
Source: Zdnet.com English
The Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 is a responsive machine in ways that users care about: fast boot times, nice multitasking abilities, and pretty good battery life, with a large, brilliant display in a convertible form factor. The device is competitively priced when it's on sale -- like right now -- $1,249 for 32GB (the version I recommend) which are asking prices that are hard to beat for any laptop with this processor. If you're looking for a big-screen laptop/tablet hybrid with a stylus and brilliant display, and don't need something exceedingly thin and lightweight, the Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 is a fantastic option.

73% Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 Review: The Mini-LED Display Shines but There's Little Else to Get Excited About
Source: CNet English
If you consider Dell's rebrand a fresh starting point, there's plenty of room to be optimistic about the current direction its mid-tier two-in-ones, including the Dell 16 Plus, are taking. However, optimism about potential future iterations doesn't mean the current generation is a good value proposition. While there are a number of things to recommend the Dell 16 Plus, its hindrances, like the subpar battery life, unfortunate keyboard design and underwhelming speakers, mean it slips below the level of some of its competition. In a crowded field, the Dell 16 Plus fails to stand out, and it's not priced in a way that would justify looking the other way, where many of its faults are concerned.

80% I've had the Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 for three weeks and I love the screen, convertible function and value for money
Source: Creative Bloq English
The Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 is a versatile convertible laptop from this famously reliable computer giant. The big, bright touchscreen is equally great for photo-editing as it is for watching films in bed, and the ergonomics of the sturdy build are generally very pleasing in use. Adding to that, you get a capable, big laptop for both work and (a little) play for under £/$1,000 (at least the base model). It is quite heavy, though, the Intel Arc graphics still lag behind Apple and laptops with NVIDIA graphics on board, and despite 32GB of RAM, its top-end performance is relatively limited compared to zippier rivals. If you don't need 3D prowess or intense processing power, this Dell hits a sweet spot between value and performance for a lot of users.

80% Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 review: Technically proficient but lacking soul

What to expect from Sims 4's fairies in new packThe Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 is a perfectly competent hybrid laptop. Its hinge allows the system to transform into various modes to better adapt to your needs. Its chassis is well built even though it's not particularly eye-catching. Performance is solid and battery life is slightly better than average for its class, while Dell's optional mini LED display provides a great viewing experience. And starting at just $750 (or around $1,400 for the fully loaded model review here), this system feels very reasonably priced. My main issue is that between its revamped name and new streamlined design, the Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 suffers from a complete lack of personality. It's a totally serviceable machine, but it doesn't have a single trait or feature that endears itself to its user. Same goes for its name.

92% Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 review: New look, new chip and a great all-around laptop with a fantastic Mini-LED display
Source: Techaeris English
The Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 buries the Inspiron nameplate and resurrects itself in a fresh design that looks clean and simple. Though, I will say, this is a chunky boy and has some heft to it. A lot of this has to do with the 2-in-1 design and the hinges needed for such a design. It’s not heavier than the competition, so it’s not an issue when it comes to comparing. But for those who want light and portable, this boy may be a bit hefty. Maybe a 14″ would be better for portability. The new keyboard is comfortable, backlit, and has decent key travel. The trackpad is OK but could be improved. I suggest you shell out for the mini-LED display because it is fantastic. It’s bright with great color reproduction and the blacks are great as are the whites.

Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 Laptop: You Could Be Doing So Much More
Source: Lifewire English
The Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 isn't designed to be the sleekest laptop on the market. It is, however, designed to be a workhorse, and it is absolutely that. Between the Intel processor, onboard NPU, and ample storage, the 16 Plus 2-in-1 is a great fit for professionals who need equipment they can rely on. The same goes for students. This laptop's solid build and reasonable price tag make it a great choice for students heading into college or even those who just need an upgrade. An added bonus is that the 2-in-1 design will give them the flexibility they need for whatever their professors throw at them. If I chose to give up my 14-inch laptop and go back to a larger form factor, this would be at the top of my list.

70% The Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 gets all the basics right, except one
Source: Laptop Mag English
The Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 has some strengths, including its display quality and surprisingly solid gaming performance. However, its extremely poor battery life, combined with merely acceptable daily performance and a heavy chassis, make it difficult to recommend for most people in this competitive price range. With less than 8 hours of battery life, you won't be able to get through a full day of work or school without hauling around a charger with you. That's a significant letdown, considering there are other 16-inch 2-in-1 laptops available for around the same price that offer significantly longer battery life.If battery life isn't a top concern for you, the Dell 16 Plus 2-in-1 may still be worth considering. The 16-inch display is vivid and bright, making this a good pick if you mainly use your laptop for entertainment. It can handle casual gaming better than expected, considering its price, so this may also be a good option if you're shopping for a budget-friendly laptop and want to play some lightweight games.

80% Dell Plus 16 2-in-1 review: an impressive freshman laptop debut
Source: Digital Trends English
The Dell Plus 16 2-in-1 is an important laptop for the company, meant to introduce a new brand that convince laptop buyers that although the names have changed, the design and quality remain the same. Dell has made it theoretically easier to buy a laptop, but it was vital to avoid letting the first users down. I think the Dell Plus 16 2-in-1 does its job. It’s not a perfect laptop, by any means, but it’s reasonably priced given is quality build, and the decision to build around an excellent mini-LED display was a good one. That elevates this laptop into a strong recommendation, while the entry-level display will offer its own advantages.

Intel Arc 140V: A pretty fast integrated graphics adapter that higher-end Intel Lunar Lake family processors employ. This is a direct successor to the Arc 8; it can drive three SUHD 4320p monitors simultaneously via HDMI 2.1, eDP 1.5 and DP 2.1. With the 140V, all 2023 and 2024 games are playable at 1080p on low graphics settings.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

Core Ultra 7 258V: An upper mid-range Lunar Lake family processor. It sports 4 new Skymont E-cores and 4 new Lion Cove P-cores running at up to 3.7 GHz and 4.8 GHz respectively, along with the new Arc 140V iGPU and 32 GB of on-package LPDDR5x-8533 RAM. It essentially matches the Core Ultra 7 165U and Core i7-1360P in multi-thread performance and it eats up to 37 W when under short-term workloads.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

16.00":

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.

The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.

78.94%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
