MediaTek seems to be pretty confident that the Dimensity 9000 will not have any of the throttling or heating issues reported with the Snapdragon 888. MediaTek representatives said that the Dimensity 9000 will offer power consumption advantages over the competition, and that the company is looking to eventually offer chipsets for Windows on ARM in the near future.

AT&T and Verizon have decided to limit the energy emitted by their 5G cell towers in response to Federal Aviation Administration's concerns over mid-band 5G potentially interfering with aircraft radio altimeters. Earlier this month, AT&T and Verizon pushed back the launch of their mid-band 5G to January 5, 2022, over issues raised by the FAA.
