Information about AMD's upcoming Navi 23-based Radeon RX 6600 and RX 6600 XT has now surfaced. The RX 6600 series will be available in both mobile and desktop offerings and is expected to feature up to a 2,350 MHz boost clock, 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM, and PCIe Gen4 x8 connectivity. The PCIe Gen4 x8 limitation may be a deterrent for those looking to upgrade to Navi 23 on the desktop.

Xiaomi has announced its plans to launch a new Mi Notebook Pro 15 Ryzen Edition laptop in the near future. The Chinese OEM has confirmed a processor from AMD’s Ryzen 5000 series will be at the heart of the device. The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 15 Ryzen Edition will go on presale in China on May 24 and be launched shortly afterwards.

Benchmarks for the Intel Core i7-11800H have been shared, and it seems the Tiger Lake H45 laptop processor is quite a contender. The i7-11800H’s nemesis is likely going to be the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, which has similar key specs to the Intel rival but a lower max boost clock rate. The Zen AiO 24 A5401 is a compact all-in-one computer that packs plenty of power under the hood. The 23.8-inch computer is now available with AMD's Ryzen 7 5700U, an octa-core APU that ASUS has complemented with 16 GB of SO-DIMM RAM and a 512 GB PCIe SSD.

AMD might scrap plans of introducing a Zen 3 Refresh later this year. Codenamed Warhol, the speculated Ryzen 6000 family is considered to offer between 9% and 12% increased performance over Zen 3 Ryzen 5000. The probable reason for cancellation could be related to supply issues, but whether this decision makes sense or not can only be ascertained once Intel launches Alder Lake in Q4 this year.

The AMD 4700S desktop processor has made another appearance online, this time as part of a Mini-ITX based gaming system. It is believed that the chips that were not up to scratch for the Xbox Series X and S consoles were repurposed as AMD 4700S APUs. This means Zen 2 architecture, GDDR6 memory support, and even higher clock rates…but no iGPU.

Overall, the Radeon Pro W6900X is somewhere between an RX 6800 XT and an RX 6900 XT. Since it is noticeably faster than the RX 6900 XT in the Metal API tests, the professional card could be getting 32 GB of VRAM. The clocks will most likely be lower though, so it might only feature a more compact blower style cooler.

Rumors seem to suggest a decent performance gain of up to 12% in moving from AMD Zen 3 Ryzen 5000 Vermeer to Zen 3+ Ryzen 6000 Warhol. Warhol is expected to taken on Intel's Alder Lake hybrid CPU offerings due later this year. We are also hearing that Zen 4 Raphael Ryzen 7000 may offer a huge 45% IPC increase from Zen 2 and could pose a threat to Intel's Raptor Lake offerings in 2022.

An RX 6900 XTX prototype has leaked, in what would have been AMD's most powerful RDNA 2-based reference card. The RX 6900 XTX has a built-in AIO cooler and a slick design, albeit one that no gamer will ever be able to purchase.

The Xiaoxin Pro 16 comes with quite a few configurations featuring 16:10 screens, Ryzen 5 5600H and Ryzen 7 5800H processors coupled with GTX 1650 dGPUs, an Intel Core i5-11300H coupled to the MX 450 dGPU and a Ryzen 5800H with no dGPU. The Air 15 features 16:9 1080p screens plus Lucienne Zen 2 APUs like the Ryzen 5 5500U and Ryzen 7 5700U with no dGPUs, while the Air 14 Plus models come with 16:10 2240 x 1400 screens plus a Ryzen 5 5600U Cezanne APU and an MX 450 dGPU.

Game developers can now add image quality and graphics performance enhancing features like Contrast Adaptive Sharpening (CAS), Variable Shading, and ray-traced shadow Denoising for the Xbox Series X/S. AMD's plan to transform the entire FidelityFX suite into a cross-platform standard seems to be working well, although there is no word yet for any PS5 support.
