Chuwi RZBOX revealed with an AMD Ryzen 9 4900H in a tiny case
Chuwi has started teasing the RZBOX, its latest mini-PC. The RZBOX measures 19.15 x 19.15 x 6.09 mm, but it still includes over a dozen ports. Specifically, Chuwi has integrated the following ports:
- 1 x 3.5mm headphone output
- 1 x 3.5mm microphone input
- 1 x DisplayPort
- 1 x HDMI 2.0
- 1 x USB 2.0 Type-C
- 1 x VGA
- 2 x Gigabit Ethernet
- 2 x USB 3.0 Type-A
- 3 x USB 2.0 Type-A
The RZBOX relies on an AMD Ryzen 9 4900H, a 45 W APU with eight Zen 2 cores. The Ryzen 9 4900H can boost to 4.4 GHz and has a Radeon RX Vega 8 GPU with eight Compute Units (CUs). The machine also has dual SODIMM and M.2 2280 slots, providing a certain amount of upgradability and flexibility.
Chuwi will sell the RZBOX in three configurations, starting with a barebones machine at US$500. Alternatively, the mini-PC will be available with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB storage or 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. Prices for these configurations have not been revealed, but Chuwi will open pre-orders soon. The company hopes to begin shipping orders in October.
