ASRock announces new mini-PCs and motherboards based on Intel Elkhart Lake processors
ASRock has announced a slew of new motherboards and mini-PCs based on Intel's Elkhart Lake processors. While the company has revealed three Elkhart Lake-based devices so far, CNX Software claims that more are on the way from the company. Elkhart Lake offers between 4.5 and 12 W TDPs with up to 3.0 GHz clock speeds. The 10 nm architecture features UHD Graphics for 10th Gen Intel Processors too and supports LPDDR4, LPDDR4x and DRR4 RAM.
So far, ASRock has announced the NUC 6000 BOX, iBOX 6000 and NUC 6000 motherboard series. According to a chart published by the company, only the iBOX 6000 series will be available with Atom x6 processors. By contrast, the NUC 6000 BOX and motherboard series will come with Pentium and Celeron processors.

Details here
Unsurprisingly, the NUC 6000 BOX contains NUC 6000 motherboard. However, NUC 6000 motherboards will be available in more configurations than the NUC 6000 BOX series. It seems that the iBOX 6000 augments a NUC 6000 motherboard with a USB header, but we cannot understand why ASRock would not sell Atom-based motherboards separately. Hence, all models contain two video outputs, dual Gigabit Ethernet and numerous USB ports, including USB Type-C connections.
ASRock has not announced how much the NUC 6000 BOX, iBOX 6000 and NUC 6000 motherboard series will cost. Unfortunately, the company has stated when it plans to ship these Elkhart Lake-based machines either.
