MINISFORUM has expanded its EliteMini series with the HM90, a 149.6 x 149.6 x 55.5 mm mini-PC. The EliteMini HM90 relies on up to an AMD Ryzen 9 4900H APU, rather than the Ryzen 9 5900HX found in the EliteMini HX90. For reference, the Ryzen 9 4900H is an eight-core APU that supports Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) on a 45 W TDP. The APU also contains a Radeon RX Vega 8 GPU that can boost to 1,750 MHz.
Alternatively, MINISFORUM offers the HM90 with a Ryzen 5 4600H; both APUs are available barebones and with the following memory configurations:
- 16 GB of RAM / 256 GB SSD
- 32 GB of RAM / 512 GB SSD
Accordingly, the EliteMini HM90 contains an M.2 2280 PCIe slot, two 2.5-inch SATA drive bays and dual-channel SODIMM slots operating at up to 3,200 MHz. Additionally, the mini-PC has six USB Type-A ports, dual RJ45 connections and three video outputs. For reference, the latter consists of DisplayPort, HDMI, and a USB Type-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode.
The EliteMini HM90 starts at US$479 as a barebones kit with a Ryzen 5 4600H and US$499 for the Ryzen 9 4900H edition. If you want RAM and an SSD included, then the EliteMini HM90 will set you back at least US$649. MINISFORUM states that orders will ship at the end of November, after which prices will rise by between US$80 and US$150 depending on the configuration chosen.
