Advertised as a tool designed for multiple purposes, from light web browsing to running serious business applications, the new CR50 by MINISFORUM is now up for pre-order and the prices of the three hardware configurations available are quite tempting.
Inside the MINISFORUM CR50, there is an all-in-one design that brings together the processor, cooler, memory, and mainboard. The processor used by this mini PC is the AMD 4700S, an octa-core chip with a total of 512 KB L1 cache, 4 MB L2 cache, and 8 MB of L3 cache.
For now, these are the hardware setups to choose from and their prices:
- 16 GB RAM, no storage: US$679
- 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD: US$729
- 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD: US$759
In addition to the highlights mentioned above, the MINISFORUM CR50 also sports a wide range of connectivity options, including one Gigabit Ethernet port, DVI-D, HDMI (4K @ 60 Hz), 4 USB 3.2 ports, and 4 USB 2.0 ports. Obviously, the usual motherboard audio connectors are also included in the mix.
The Geekbench 5 scores revealed by MINISFORUM for the CR50 are 1006/8483 (single-/multi-core) for the processor, respectively 10673 (OpenCL) for the AMD Radeon RX 550.
The MINISFORUM CR50 comes with Windows 10 Pro pre-installed and is fully compatible with Windows 11.
