The MINISFORUM DeskMini UM270 is a new Ryzen 7-powered mini PC that starts at US$499
The DeskMini lineup of mini PCs by MINISFORUM has just received a new member. Codenamed UM270, the new MINISFORUM DeskMini takes advantage of an AMD Ryzen 7 processor and sports a design similar to its siblings that use Intel Core processors. Although it does come with a dedicated graphics solution, the UM270 can handle many modern games pretty well thanks to the Ryzen Vega 10 iGP.
The AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U APU inside the DeskMini UM270 features 4 cores and 8 threads, 2 MB of level 2 and 4 MB of level 3 cache, as well as a Radeon Vega 10 graphics core with a frequency of up to 1300 MHz. The connectivity options are quite generous for this compact form factor and include triple video output (HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C), two RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports, no less than 5 USB 3.1 ports, and more.
The two hardware setups that were unveiled earlier today and their prices are 16/256 GB (US$499) and 16/512 GB (US$539). Shipments are scheduled to begin at the end of March, but until then we will probably get more images and a showcase video first.
