PowerColor confirms that AMD is on the verge of announcing the Radeon RX 6600 and RX 6600 XT
VideoCardz has discovered that PowerColor has listed the RX 6600 and RX 6600 XT on its website, only a few days after the website leaked a marketing image of a reference card. AMD had teased the Radeon RX 6600 series at CES 2021 in January and had given the impression that budget RDNA 2-based cards would arrive during 1H 2021. However, AMD has not mentioned the Radeon RX 6600 series, since.
PowerColor has not revealed any details about either cards beyond their names. Add-in board partners do not list graphics cards or processors without reason though, so their appearance implies that AMD is close to announcing the RX 6600 series. Both cards are expected to launch with single fan designs, although we imagine that AMD's board partners will develop twin fan variants, too.
The Radeon RX 6600 series should showcase AMD's Navi 23 GPU, which will feature up to 2,048 cores and 32 MB of Infinity Cache. Both cards will also have GDDR6 VRAM running at 16 Gbps on a 128-bit bus, based on previous leaks. Presumably, AMD will leverage the Radeon RX 6600 series as a competitor for NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3060 series.
