The BenQ GV30 is a bizarre-looking projector, albeit one with a built-in stand. The projector runs Android TV natively, albeit at up to 720p.

BenQ has revealed a new projector, and a quite unusual one at that. The GV30 is a 720p projector that peaks at 300 ANSI lumens with a light source life of up to 30,000 hours when set to ECO mode.

The GV30 has a throw ratio of 1.2 with a fixed zoom ratio and lens, along with a built-in stand. The latter allows the GV30 to be rotated by 135°, giving it the versatility of projecting onto a ceiling or a wall without making any major adjustments.

Apparently, the GV30 will project between a 30-inch and 120-inch image, although a 720p picture may look a tad blurry at 129-inches. BenQ has also included an 8 W woofer and dual 4 W mid-tweeters; supposedly, these will project sound in a 270° arc.

Additionally, BenQ has integrated a USB Type-C port that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and an HDMI port. However, the projector runs Android TV natively, giving it access to all manner of apps. The BenQ GV30 is available to pre-order now for €599.
