It is finally official and as expected, Apple has scheduled its annual hardware event for Tuesday, September 14. Like previous Apple events, this year's will commence at 10:00 PDT and on Apple's website. Incidentally, next week's event will be exclusively online, rather than an in-person event, hence the event's name 'California Streaming'.
Unsurprisingly, neither the invitation nor the animation shared online provide any details about what Apple will reveal next Tuesday. However, leaks and rumours so far point to Apple unveiling the iPhone 13 series, ranging in size order from the iPhone 13 mini, to the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max. The iPhone 13 series is thought to retain its predecessor's design for the most part, but with camera upgrades, a slimmer notch and 120 Hz displays for Pro models. All iPhone 13 handsets should receive Apple's A15 Bionic SoC, too.
Additionally, the Watch Series 7 should be in attendance. Reputedly, the Apple Watch will receive a new design this year, along with a larger display and a more powerful SoC. New health and fitness features will not be debuting on this year's model, though. Typically, Apple announces more than two products at its hardware events, so we would not be surprised if a new budget iPad and AirPods 3 arrived, as well. On the other hand, the MacBook Pro 14 and MacBook Pro 16 are supposedly not slated for release until October or November.
