JMGO 01 and JMGO 01 Pro: Reasonably priced ultra-short-throw projectors with Leica optics for Pro model
Ultra-short throw projectors are becoming increasingly popular, pioneered in part by the likes of WeMax and Xiaomi. Price continues to hold ultra-short-throw projects back, in our opinion. The WeMax Nova (affiliate link), for example, retails for over US$2,000, which is considerably more expensive than conventional 4K projectors.
However, JMGO claims to have solved that with the 01 and 01 Pro, two 1080p ultra-short-throw projectors. Unsurprisingly, the O1 Pro has better hardware, which you can read below. In short, the 01 Pro is the brighter of the two, has better contrast, an even shorter throw range and can cover a 10-inch larger area than the JMGO 01. JMGO claims that it has co-engineered the 01 Pro with Leica, too.

Both projectors should last up to 45,000 hours though, which equates to over 5 years of continuous use. More realistically, the JMGO 01 and 01 Pro could still have life left in them after 15 years if used for 8 hours daily.
JMGO pre-installs Luna OS on both projectors, an Android fork with Amazon Alexa support. The monitors have dedicated video outputs, though, allowing you to connect external sources.
Both projectors are available to back on Indiegogo, where JMGO has already raised HKD$2,473,965 (~US$318.832). The JMGO 01 starts at HKD$5,423 (~US$699), while the JMGO 01 Pro costs HKD$6,975 (~US$899). JMGO hopes to deliver the 01 in August and the 01 Pro in September. Please note that backing a crowdfunding campaign is not the same as purchasing a device, and there are risks with doing so.
