reServer: Powerful Intel-based NAS launches with Arduino support and dual 2.5 Gbit Ethernet

The reServer is a compact server powered by Intel Tiger Lake processors. The device is also compatible with Arduino and supports up to 64 GB of RAM, among other features.

Seeedstudio has revealed the reServer, its latest take on the Odyssey X86 platform. Now in its second generation, the Odyssey X86 board fits in a 124 x 132 x 230 mm housing with a choice of Intel Tiger Lake processors. According to Seeedstudio, it will offer the reServer with the Core i3-1115G4, Core i5-1135G7, Core i7-1165G7 and the Core i7-1185GRE.

The company will also sell the reServer with 8 GB and 16 GB of RAM, but the device supports up to 64 GB. Additionally, Seeedstudio has included dual SATA drive bays, an M.2 2242/2280 slot that supports PCIe 3.0, an M.2 E-Key slot and an M.2 B-Key slot.

Moreover, the reServer has dual 2.5 GBit/s Ethernet connections, HDMI 2.0b, eDP and DisplayPort 1.4a. Finally, Seeedstudio has included several USB ports and a GPIO header with 28-pins for Arduino compatibility. Seeedstudio will release the reServer at the end of June, starting at US$669. Core i5 and Core i7 models will be available in July and August, respectively.
