Acer has introduced an upgraded ConceptD lineup at its [email protected] event today. The ConceptD 5 and ConceptD 5 Pro are built to cater to the needs of content creators on the move. The ConceptD 5 series laptops come with 16-inch displays and an all-metal chassis design
Powering the ConceptD 5 (CN516-72G) are 11th gen Core H series processors together with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics. The ConceptD 5 Pro (CN516-72P), on the other hand, offers buyers the choice between an NVIDIA RTX A5000 and an RTX A3000 that bring ray tracing and AI features for 3D rendering, 8K video editing, and other creative workflows. Similar to the Predator series that were launched today, the ConceptD 5s also sport the Acer Vortex Flow cooling technology comprised of a triple-fan system (5th gen AeroBlade 3D fans) and strategically placed air inlets and outlets for a better sustained performance under demanding workloads.
Buyers can configure the ConceptD 5 series with up to 64 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSDs in RAID 0. Other connectivity features include 2x Thunderbolt 4 ports, RJ-45, HDMI 2.1-out, 2x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, SD card reader, and a combo audio jack. Acer said that the ConceptD 5 and ConceptD 5 Pro feature silent keyboards and 6-inch wide Corning Gorilla Glass touchpads with a built-in fingerprint reader.
Both ConceptD 5s sport a 16-inch 3K (3,072 x 1,920) panel that is Pantone-validated to cover 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and a color accuracy Delta E less than 2. The display offers an 87% screen-to-body ratio in a 16:10 aspect that allows for added vertical working area.
