Acer has upgraded its TravelMate lineup with the TravelMate P6 and the TravelMate Spin P6 convertible. Both the new TravelMate devices are based on the Intel 11th gen Core vPro platform and offer 14-inch FHD displays with 100% sRGB coverage along with optional 5G and NFC connectivity.

Acer has announced a refreshed TravelMate lineup of commercial laptops during its next@acer event. The Acer TravelMate P6 series includes the TravelMate P6 and the convertible TravelMate Spin P6 both of which are available in an ultra-thin form factor for getting work done on the move.

The TravelMate P6 and the TravelMate Spin P6 chassis are made of magnesium-aluminum alloy and weigh just about 1 kg and 1.1 kg, respectively while also being MIL-STD 810H-compliant for durability under pressure, rain, humidity, and high temperatures. Both the laptops sport 14-inch 16:10 FHD+ (1,920 x 1,200) IPS displays with narrow bezels, wide-viewing angles, and 100% sRGB coverage. Additionally, buyers can also equip these displays with Acer PrivacyPanel that restricts the viewing angle to 90°. Similar to the other Acer launches today, we also get to see Corning Gorilla Glass touchpads for these devices as well.

Powering these business devices are Intel 11th gen Core i7 vPro processors, up to 32 GB of LPDDR4x memory, and up to a 1 TB PCIe Gen 3 SSD. As business devices, the TravelMate P6 and the TravelMate Spin P6 come with Windows 10 Pro and include both an IR scanner and a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello-based logins. Also available is Acer's User Sensing technology that can wake-up or lock the notebooks when the user is not in front of the device, a TPM 2.0 chip, and Intel Active Management technology. Acer said that the TravelMate P6 can offer up to 20 hours of battery life.

The TravelMate P6 and the TravelMate Spin P6 offer good connectivity options that include Wi-Fi 6, NFC, and optional 5G USIM. A Thunderbolt 4 port and microSD card reader are also available. Acer is also offering an Acer Connect M5 5G Mobile Wi-Fi router, which is a portable 5G router that includes Wi-Fi 6 and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity onboard. The Connect M5 router also includes a built-in battery that can be topped-up via USB-C and can also be used to charge other devices.

The Acer TravelMate P6 (TMP614-52) will be available in North America in December starting from US$1,299.99, in EMEA in September starting from €999, and in China in August starting from RMB 6,999.
