Business laptop with touchscreen display: The Acer TravelMate P6 P614-51T-G2

The TravelMate P6 P614-51T-G2 is a high-end 14-inch business laptop. Here, Acer has gone with a matte black case made of a magnesium alloy. Therefore, the laptop weighs only about 1.2 kg - an important aspect for a mobile work device.

The battery life of the 14-incher is very good. With one battery charge, the laptop achieves practical runtimes of 11 to 13 hours. The battery can be charged using the included proprietary power adapter or a universal USB power adapter (via Thunderbolt 3 port).

The device is powered by a Core i7-10510U processor (Comet Lake) that provides more than enough computing power for office and Internet applications. The CPU is supported by 16 GB of memory (dual-channel mode) that consists of an 8 GB module and 8 GB of onboard memory (soldered). An upgrade to up to 24 GB would be possible.

The 14-inch touchscreen display scores points with stable viewing angles, a matte surface, decent color reproduction, and acceptable color-space coverage. The brightness and contrast are fundamentally in order, but they should be significantly better on a laptop in this price range.
