Acer claimed to have had its best May for seven years in its financial report for that month. Now, it notes it has done the same in June 2021. The OEM made 30.02 billion new Taiwanese dollars (NTD, or US$1.07 billion) in that month. It attributed this success to the sales of its Chromebooks and gaming hardware.

Acer's latest monthly financial report shows another impressive result for the hardware OEM. It follows on from the last report in that the company has, yet again, posted its best June since 2014. It made just over US$1 billion in revenue, 16.9% more compared to June 2020 and 21.0% more compared to May 2021.

Acer also now estimates its takings for the entire second-quarter of 2021 (2Q2021) at 79.78 billion NTD, or ~$2.85 billion, a 21.7% year-on-year (YoY) growth, and also 11.5% more compared to 1Q2021. The OEM also calculates it has made a total of 151.33 billion NTD (~US$5.4 billion) for the first half of 2021, a 32.2% YoY growth.

The OEM has acknowledged the role of its gaming PC and Chromebook divisions in this sky-rocketing success: their revenues have grown by 35.7% and 41.8% YoY. They represent 2 categories that still experience strong demand in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Finally, Acer claims that all of its subsidiaries have posted gains in 2Q2021, Acer Gadget Inc and Altos Computing, with 21.4% and 24.9% YoY gains respectively, included.
