Deal | The Acer Spin 311 is now on sale for just $155 USD to be one of the cheapest Chromebooks you can get
Walmart is currently offering the Acer Spin 311 Chromebook for almost half off the original launch price of $300 USD. Aside from its very low sale price, this particular model is notable for including a modern USB-C port which many older Chromebooks may lack.
Of course, the rest of the specifications are meager to say the least. The MediaTek MT8183C SoC, 768p resolution, and 4 GB LPDDR4X RAM aren't going to win any awards, but they nonetheless work fairly well under the undemanding Chrome OS software. Battery life, for example, is rated at up to 15 hours despite the small 2-cell battery.
Users will want to keep in mind that the system has no SD card reader which can make local storage tricky due to its limited 32 GB SSD. Relying on cloud storage and remote services would be the best use cases for this class of system.
