Recently, we reported about an unannounced Acer Swift X laptop discovered on the Acer Thailand website with Ryzen 5000 APUs and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics. Today, at its next@acer event, Acer is officially launching the Swift X powered by Ryzen 5000 APUs and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU.
The Acer Swift X SFX14-41G weighs 1.39 kg and is just 0.7 inches thick. The device features a 14-inch FHD IPS display with an 85.7% screen-to-body ratio. The Swift X's display can cover 100% of the sRGB color space and comes with Acer BlueLight Shield technology for reduced eye strain. Driving the visuals is the newly launched RTX 3050 Ti.
The Swift X offers a choice of AMD Ryzen 5000 APUs that can be paired with up to 16 GB RAM and up to 2x 1 TB M.2 SSDs. Acer said that the Swift X's fan is made of 59 ultra-thin all-metal components and is built to ensure a quiet working experience. The airflow is improved by 5-10% and is further aided by a keyboard design with an air inlet that allows for 8-10% better heat dissipation. Acer said that the keyboard is built to be easily cleanable from crumbs or dust.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, USB Type-C, HDMI-out, 2x USB Type-A ports, and a headphone jack. Acer said that the Swift X's 59 WHr battery can afford a runtime of up to 17 hours.
The Acer Swift X will be available in three color options from Summer 2021 onwards at prices starting from €899.
