Unannounced 14-inch Acer Swift X laptop with AMD Ryzen 5000U APUs spotted on Acer Thailand site
WinFuture spotted an unannounced Acer Swift X laptop on the Acer Thailand website, and we are expecting these new models to launch globally very soon. From what we can see on the official site, Acer is equipping the Swift X lineup with 14-inch displays, AMD Ryzen 5000U processors, as well as Nvidia GTX dGPUs.
For now, there is only one variant with product code SFX14-41G-R3AD that features a Ryzen 5 5500U hexa-core processor, 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512 GB of NVMe SSD storage, plus an Nvidia GTX 1650 dGPU. The 14-inch display features an FHD IPS panel with matte treatment, which also comes with an integrated HD webcam. The port selection includes 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 with charging capabilities, a USB-C 3.2, an HDMI 2.0 video output and a headphone jack. There is also support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, a fingerprint reader, a compact backlit keyboard, and the battery capacity is rated for 59 Wh. The listing mentions a Safari Gold color scheme and 1.39 kg (3 lbs) weight.
According to WinFuture, Acer plans to release a Swift X variant powered by the Ryzen 7 5700U octa-core processors coupled with 16 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, as well. Note that these APUs are part of the Lucienne family featuring the older Zen 2 cores, while the Ryzen 5 5600U and Ryzen 7 5800U are part of the Cezanne family with the new Zen 3 cores. The Ryzen 7 model might cost around US$1,000 since the Ryzen 5 5500U model is listed with a ~US$900 price.
