Acer has introduced new upgrades to the Swift X series. Previously, we had seen the Swift X feature AMD Ryzen 5000 APUs and RTX 3050 Ti graphics. Now, Acer has upgraded the Swift X to offer 12th gen Alder Lake processors in two screen sizes.
First up is the Swift X 14 SFX14-51G. This year's Swift X 14 offers significant upgrades to the internals and the display. The 14-inch display now sports a 16:10 2240x1400 resolution and covers 100% sRGB with up to 400 nits brightness. Similar to last year's model, the new Swift X 14 also offers discrete GPU options up to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU.
Acer also has a Swift X 16 SFX16-52G on offer. The Swift X 16 comes with a 16-inch 16:10 2560x1600 display. It is also the first laptop at CES to confirm the Intel Arc dGPU for laptops. Acer hasn't specified the exact Arc SKU as Intel hasn't announced them yet, but it is likely that we would be seeing a lower-end SKU such as the Arc 350M.
Both the Swift X 14 and the Swift X 16 offer configuration choices up to 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory and up to 2 TB PCIe SSD storage. Acer equips the Swift X devices with a Gen 4 and a Gen 3 NVMe slot. Port selection includes 2x Thunderbolt 4, 2x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, and 1x HDMI 2.0. Acer is now offering a full HD webcam on both the Swift X models. A Windows Hello-compliant fingerprint reader and a 59 Whr battery round up the specifications.
Pricing and availability details will be revealed at a later date.
