Entire Honor Magic V spec sheet outed before its January 10 launch
Honor has put out multiple teasers of its dual-screen Magic V smartphone over the past few weeks. Among other things, the smartphone will have two high-refresh-rate screens, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and a Microsoft Surface Duo-like design. Renowned leaker Ishan Agarwal (via MySmartPrice) has now spilt the beans on the entirety of the Honor Magic V's spec sheet three days before its January 10 launch date.
The cover display on the Honor Magic V is a 6.4-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2,272 x 1,984 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The primary display ups the resolution to 2,272 x 1,984 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. A 42MP sensor sits on a hole-punch cutout on the secondary screen, which will handle selfies and video calls.
The Honor Magic V gets three beefy 50MP sensors at the back: a wide-angle lens, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a spectrum enhanced camera. It'll be interesting to see how the third lens plays with the entire setup, as it is usually reserved for high-end cameras to filter out invisible radiation (IR/UV).
Honor will sell the Magic V in two configurations, one with 256GB of storage and the other with 512GB, along with 12GB of RAM. The smartphone will draw power from a 4,750mAh battery that supports 66W wired fast charging. That could be a dealbreaker for many, as two high-refresh-rate OLED panels can chew through it in a matter of hours.
